Who am I then, you might ask?
Well, Iīll tell you. My name is Mia Svensson.
I am 26 years old, and I live in Glimåkra, which lies in the north of Sweden, but Skurup
is, and always will be, my hometown.
My family consists of my parents, Karin and Göran,
my brother Fredrik (who is six years older than me) who has a wife named Mia
,and a little son named Johan, and a girl named Mathilda. They are true rascal!
Then there is of course all the relatives, who on my fathers side accounts for about
100 people.
I have a dog too, he is a 9 year old Jack Russell named Mulle, and he is pretty round
around the tummy! As far as I know, he is the heftiest dog Iīve ever seen so far.
Mulle is my second dog. My first one was a Shi Tzu, named Totzie. She was calm and quiet,
the total opposite of what Mulle is! She died of an acute uterus-inflammation, so if you
have bitch, and donīt want puppies, you sterilise her.
Itīs for her own good, and minimizes the risk.
My interests then? Well, that I have many!
I read a lot, mostly horror, fantasy and Harlequin Historical. I sew
and craft even more. Right now Iīm on a list on the web named
FOCD
(Friends Of Cloth Dolls) who shares ideas, hints ans invites you in to see their webpages,
but formost we trade dolls with each other. It might sound rediculas, a grownup playing with
dolls, but these are wonderful creations my newfound friends does, pure work of art!
What else? I play around with FIMO, which is a plastic-clay you burn in the oven.
With that I make dolls, trolls, miniatures, frame-decorations and much more.
I also draw alot, even if itīs mostly sketches and scribbles now days.
I like languages, and have planned to learn as many as I can. Right now I can speak swedish,
english and Iīm right now learning german!
In the future I hope to learn more, and get a job within translation,
because I then can combine two interests - language and reading. Hopefully
I can combine those with yet another - hobby. I would like to contribute
to encreas the interest for crafts, by translating those books into swedish.
There arenīt enough of them, according to me!
What I canīt live without:
- My family
- My dog
- Books!
- pencils and paper
- The TV (I know, horrible isnīt it?)
- Music
- My sight and my hands.
